I am Encountering a problem with seting up the special Relay circut required for powering up this wire. It has dual funcutionality and needs to see 560ohms for accessory, and 150 for the 2nd starter, (Both thru a ground)during Remote start. The problem I am running into, is whenever cut the wire at the Ign harness and put a realy inbetween it, and the "carside" of the wire, the airbag light comes on..... I have my resistor values dead on.... and everything else is hooked up and wired properly.... I initially tried to avoid hooking up the Acc wire all together, but the 2nd starter part of that wire is Required to start the vehicle. Because when i try to R/S without that wire connected, The vehicle will start then shut off(and throw a "check engine" light code).... has any one encountered this problem?? Any reasons, explanations or fixes for this problem i am having would be greatly appreciated.... Thanks in advance.... ------------- I can accept failure. But I can't accept not trying. -Michael Jordan

ok, along with most of the new chryslers, dodge, and jeep, the multiplex ignition via PURPLE / brown can be quite a pain and very tricky to somebody who hasn't had a lot of exerience with em. First of all, what kind of remote starter are you putting in? What module are you using?

tap onto the purple brown instead of cutting the wire. wire the relays up like this..... relay #1 85- ACC output from rs 86- ground 30- ground 87- connect to PURPLE / brown thru proper resistor value relay #2 85- Start putput from rs 86- ground 30-ground 87- connect to PURPLE / brown thru proper resistor value

Ok.. thanks dre. and green.. I have an Omega MAX-E...... So what you are sayin ,Dre, is to leave the 87a terminals(on Both Relays) empty... And to tie the terminal 30's (again, on Both relays) together and then tap them onto the MUX wire..... And wire up everything else as you mentioned?? ------------- I can accept failure. no ace, he is saying tie pins 30 and 86 from both relays to ground, pins 87 from each relay ( 1 with acc resistor, 1 with 2nd starter resistor) get tied into purple brown wire
