Ok this is a complicated problem created by a obviously unqualified installer in brooklyn ny. A relative of mine has a 06 acura rsx with a cheap galaxy 2 way alarm/rs unit that is manual tranny compatible. It was installed by a stupid and lazy installer and there were many loose connections as well as many unecessary wires run into the engine compartment while there were many places to get the required signals in the interior of the car. The only thing that has got me completely stumped is what he did for the hoodpin wire.

The tech sheets all state that a GREEN/ black wire at the security control unit is the hoodpin wire. This guy ran the galaxy wire to the actual hoodpin latch at the front of the engine compartment. When I went to solder up the connection and just make the new one in the vehicles interior I got stuck. What I saw was the GREEN/ black acura factory hood wire(it was the same GREEN/ black that he could of got inside the car) crimp connected to the galaxy wire. Problem is that the wire makes no obvious connection to the car. I know it still is connected to the factory keyless entry syatem cause when the hood is open the lock button on the factory transmitter ceases to work so obviously the wire is not cut. I followed the wire up from where this wire is connected to the factory plug that you have to look down into the hoodpin mechanism to see and it terminates into this installers butt connector and into the galaxy wire. There seems to be no connection to the car. I cant find the other end of the wire either and everything seems to be untouched as it was when it left the factory. Now there is thick factory split loom tubing to the left of the actual hoodpin assembly  that contains many wires but seems untouched by this guy and I did not open it. A black wire comes out of this tube and then travels along the GREEN/ black wire in the small factory split loom tubing that brings the grenn/black wire to the factory plug down below. It is through this same tube that up above the wire is crimped to the galaxy wire with the but connector. I have no clue what to do. I thought I was going to just find the other end of the wire but I cant seem to. Also that black wire that exits the tubing to the left, is that factory and was wondering if anybody that has worked on or owns a rsx could check and tell me. If it is not factory then what I was thinking is he screwed up when he tried to make the connection and fixed it up with his own wires. Right now I am completely puzzled and was wondering if you guys could help me with something I have not thought of.

I know this is a long uneat paragraph but this was a very complicated situation and i included as much as I could to try and improve my chances of recieving help,I hope you all understand. Thank you
