Hi ppl..I have a 1995 Cavalier which has a ProStart remote starter already installed.  Right now the car does not have power locks, but I was hoping I could just buy a couple actuators and wire them directly into the remote starter.

Is this possible, and not to difficult?

How would I do this, and is there anything else I would need to buy?

As long as the unit has lock outputs no prob youll just have to use relays because the modules dont have high current lock outputs...Get some simple 2-wire actuators and wire em up! Cavaliers are pretty simple to mount and install actuators too!

You never stated the model of the ProStart you got.
describe your remote, how man buttons does it have?

if there are lock and unlock output, then yes you can have power locks
(if not, you will have to switch unit)

do a search on "power doorlock" "actuators" "reverse polarity relay"

You will need actuators, and relays.
How to wire up everything can be figured out by using the search.

There's only 2 buttons on the remote..I'm not sure of the model number because it was installed before I bought the car and there's nothing printed on the brain..I was at the prostart website though and it seems all there models have the option for power door locks..also, the different brain's all appear basically the same and i have two wires on mine of the right color and place as the diagram not hooked to anything which I believe must be for the power doors.

Thanx..gonna go read up on relays.
