I installed a crime stopper cs 2006fm in a 91 chrysler labarron.  the according to the database the door locks are rev polarity and lock is orange and unlock is pink.  I could not find a solid orange wire behind the glove box and the only solid pink wire tested a continueous 12 volt positive.

I did find a ORANGE / black wire and lower in the passengers kick panel I found a pink/black wire.  Those wires test nother at rest and 12volts at lock for the ORANGE / black then 12volts at unlock for the pink/black.

those are the wires i used and they works okay for about two days  the drivers door operated much slower then the passenger door at first .  now the passenger side works great still but the drivers side only tries to work without unlocking the whole way.  I can hear it tring but it seams that it's not getting enough power to the drivers door.

i believe the relays are correct because if not i don't think it would of worked at all.  maybe I need to find the solid orange and the solid pink wire to tap.

another though at the relays I saw a diagram that came with the alarm for wireing rev polarity locks and it was different then the diagram i have from here.  it shows the lock and unlock wire going into the relays from the alarm and from the vehicle switch then out to the motor legs.  in other words it showed dissconnecting the factory wires going from the vehicles power door lock switch to the motor legs. then running the wires throught the relays.

switch------------------motor legs

switch-----------------relays------------------motor legs

needless to say i worked a long time on this car and any help would be greatly appreciated.

thanks

For a short time, my girlfriend had an '88 LeBaron, which I put alarm/keyless/trunk/remote start in.

The locks were a reversing polarity system, meaning you need your own relays...The correct wires were in the driver's kick panel, behind some thick insulation, coming in from the door boot.

If it's easy to pop out the switch on the door, do so, and test everything there.  If the wires are thin, you likely have onboard relays.  If they're very thick, you probably don't.  Anyway, once you get a good look at what the correct wires look like, it's easier to find them inside the car someplace.

Hi Xclusive, your vehicle has 5 wire alternating 12V+ door locks.

As far as the difference between diagrams, you were probably looking at the "Actuators / Reverse Polarity" diagram just beneath the one above shown here: https://www.the12volt.com/doorlocks/page3.asp#5w

Here's the rest of the information I have for your vehicle: https://www.the12volt.com/installbay/alarmdetail/634.html
