I installed a remote start in a 2006 F150 and used a 556U Bypass. Now the truck only starts using the remote and will not start with the key. If i take the ring off the ignition it will start with the key but not with the remote. What is the problem? I have never run into this before.

Thanks in advance.

I just did the standard red, black and blue wires.

i guess the question is, is it hooked up to the neg while starting wire?....the reason i ask, is that the ign. can only see one key at a time, or it will not start. If it is seeing the bypass module all the time, it will not start with the key.

It sounds like the 556U isn't turning off after the Rs does. The blue wire must be connected to a statis wire on your RS...

Which wire do I connect the blue wire on my 556u bypass to on my 1000RS? The instructions are terrible.

Thanks in advance.

If the manual i just looked at is right, it is a blue/orange wire.

Did you hook up the pink wire on the 556U? If so than tisk tisk, thats not right:) If you hooked it up just cut the pink wire off the U box and your set.

No I did not connect the pink wire. Just the red, black, and blue. I think the problem is I hooked up the blue wire from the bypass to the blue wire on the remote starter. I will disconnect that and connect it to the blue/orange wire and hope for the best.
