I seem to remember hearing about a remote starter add on that allows you to start your vehicle by calling a phone number and entering a pin number. Who makes it and what is it called? How does it work? Satellite? Anyone have experience with it? How much does it cost?

Thanks in advance.

Is there one available for DEI remote starters? The Carcom seems like it is dated, does it still work?

DEI make a unit called the CallGuard2 it allows you to send a text to your car which can be used to activate a remote start unit, immobilise the fuel pump or pretty much anything you want it to do.

Autostart has a unit that will do this too, not sure if its on their website.  May have to email for detail and your closest dealer.
