I hooked up an AstroStart 803 to my 99 Silverado.  I am having shifting problems every so often.  It stays in 3rd gear all the time.  I have read all the posts, and they seem to lead to my 2nd iginition wire not being hooked up.  I also see that the 2nd iginition wire (according to diagrams, not confirmed with a dmm) is a positive lead.  Does this mean that I can use the RED / white 12 + wire to feed this 2nd (white) ignition wire?

Also, I am trying to hook up the door locks, and am haivng trouble.  The later models have the relays built into it, and the 803 does not.  I believe this means that I would have to hook up relays??  Where can I get these relays, and how would I hook them up?

Thanks in advance!

good choice of remote starter aststart rules man!!!

the 803 has a built in programmable relay that is factory programed for ign

use the fuse holder with white wire that came with your 803 hook up the side with the fuse holder to pin 87 of the built in relay cut the wire and hook up to one of the red main harness wires (before the fuse) hooh the rest of the wire to pin 30 of the built in relay and then to the white 2nd ign wire of the truck  as for the locks they are positive and you will need relays(refer to the positive 3 wire door lock diagram in the diagrams section) and one more tip hook the brown (pulse before to the disarm wire) i belive light green at bcm and the purple to the arm wire im not sure on colour it has been a while and this will keep your factory alrm in tact operating on lock and unlock

I am not sure I understand.  The 803 came with the component itself, and 3 fuse blocks, but no relays are on these blocks?  Am I missing something?

There is a place that looks like there should be a plug there.  It has 3 terminals.  This is the internal relay he speaks of.

that is correct the spalce with the 3 pins is the built in relay for 2nd ign  there is a desription of  what pins are what  your astrostart should have came with an xtra fuse holder with white wire on it  and two spade terminals take the eshort end and hook it to pin 87  the fuse holder will attach to the others in the main haness, cut the wire and hook it up to one of thr red wires before the fuse take the other end (the cut side) and atach the spade end to pin 30 of the built in relay then hook the other side up to the 2nd ign wire of the truck  refer to the intall manual programable built in realy section
