I have a customer coming in with a 2000 Kia Sportage tomorrow for a Remote Start, Ive read the tech sheet and it mentions an airbag under the dash, is this gonna be a PITA or is the harness easy enough to access?

Unbolt the lower dash (couple bolts) and you can swing it out of the way. I would always leave it plugged in. I would imagine unplugging it with the battery connected would trigger the airbag light.

I normally unbolt it.  Flip it over and zip tie it to the brake pedal to keep it out of the way while working on the car.  It's not a big deal at all.
