I have a 97 Chevy k1500 and a Python 1500 ESP alarm system, with remote start.  I recently have been experiencing problems with several of my accessories. The Anti-Lock brake light comes on, AC blower doesn't work.  What is weird (at least to me) is that if I use the remote start feature they work until I hit the brakes and then it stops working.  The same thing happens if the truck is running and I hit the Lock and Unlock buttons the accessories will turn on until I hit the brakes.  Every once in a while it will just start working.  I don't know if it is in the actual alarm unit or in the relays.  In the installation guide https://directechs.com/guides/manuals/ig/python/N553P.pdf it has a heavy gauge relay satellite key switch interface showing 6 wires.  Is there any way to verify if the problem is the control module or the relays?  Any help would be appreciated.

sounds like a wire is not powered during remote start- maybe a relay went bad- did you install or a shop? take it back if a shop did it.

If the wire was not powered during remote start, than why does it work during remote start and not on regular start?  Shop is out of business.

I checked all of the fuses and factory relays.  I switched the accessory relays with one another, and the problem remained.  What I am after is how can I find out if it is the control module that is causing the problem.  I believe I know, but was hoping a DEI installer could tell me to definatley check the correct wire for (- ) continuity, or possibly + voltage.  I think it is a neg. signal that applies, but what do I know, I am a commercial electrical contractor, and only work on my own vehicles, because everytime I take it somewhere, I end up having to fix it or change something myself.

If you are only having that problem when running off the key the problem is not with the alarm rs. I would check and make sure that the installer didnt cut the wires into  on any of the ign wires or acc and maybe they have came undone from the key side. If all the connections are good then it is a bad ign. switch.

Changed the ignition switch and re-did all of the previous connections with solder and heat shrink.  (High Amp. accessorie connections).  Works like a charm.  Thanks for the help!

chris354 thank you also!
