I am looking to install R/S with great range and LCD with confirmation. I am looking at the Viper 5900 as well as the Hornet 564t. Any advise tips or suggestions would be great. Basically whats hot and whats not. I have heard some lcd remotes burn batteries up pretty baddly. Also any places to get great deals on them? I need 2 and one bypass for an 04 MDX.

Thanks in advance.

Just a FYI : )     I was an installer for over 12 years but have been out of the game for about 3 years now so I am a little rusty af far as the new Hottness.

the 5900 is sst technology with 1 mile range

hornet 564t is am and 1/4 mile range

the better is 5900 and it has life warranty by a dealer install.

I remember having to leave a key in the RS to work is this still the case with this bypass? What do you mean by having to surrender a key?

Thanks again

you put the key in the bypass and leave it in the car- most reliable but you dont have an extra key to keep in your drawer (surrender a key)

There are several "no key required" bypass modules for this vehicle. You simply need keys to program the module.

The Autostart brand has exceptionally great range and reliability. I dont know a whole lot of people who install them, but they are great remote starters for range and ease of use.
