Does anybody know if a 98 F150 needs a bypass module?Bypass-kits.com starts at 1999 for F150's.

It may, take a look at the keys, if they look like the one shown here then it needs one. If it looks like a standard key it does not have it. Your dash would also have a 'theft' light that flashes when starting the truck.

My question now is,that if it does have a chip,can I use the pkf-1 module?(i already have one in stock).

Check to see if the word THEFT is flashing in the dash. If it's not, then there is no PATS on thie truck. If it does have the PKF1 will work on the early versions of PATS.
