I am using a 1700G with a Viper 5900 on a 2005 Tahoe and would love to get the heated seats AND defroster to activate on R/S but cannot find the proper trigger wires. Does anyone know if the 1700G can accomplish this via the databus or will I have to physically connect to the circuits with the 5900 ?? If anyone knows the proper wires to trigger the seats and defroster in this vehicle I would greatly appreciate the help, OR is the 1700G is capable of activating these features and how do I get it to work ?? Thanks

Thanks, I will give that a try. Any idea if is is a + or - trigger / latched / pulsed / etc ?

I really need the heated seat information. The door is apart as we speak and I am having no luck with testing the wires !!! Please, anybody !!!

It's a NEG(-) pulse...and it needs to be latched.  You don't need a relay, and the indicator on the switch, or dash, will NOT turn on, so you will need to "feel" the glass to know it's working!

Good luck finding that information.   I tried to get the same info for a 2005 Silverado, no one seems to know.

Thanks, I found the wire at pin A8 and will be hooking it up now. I figured out the heated seat issue. It is a dark (NOT LIGHT BLUE) blue wire that takes a 12v + pulse to turn the heater on. I hooked it to channel 5 and it works great. The only problem I am having now is getting ch 5 to activate automatically when the truck starts. Thanks again for the help.

If I did one of these rigs, I would use the astro IOM GMC-3

heated seats, radio shut off, arm/disarm factory security, dome supervision, rear defroster, and memory seats.

I don't know if you ahve to choose your options....but, thats alot of options with one wire to hook up (OBD 2 connector)

Have the Rearm wire trigger the blue wire (thru a relay) at the switch. A couple seconds after the truck starts, the remote start pulses the Rearm wire and turns on the heated seats. You can put a switch inline that can be turned off when it is warm out to prevent the seats from turning on all year round.

Thanks I may try that. For now I have it hooked up to Ch 5 and can always link it to activate when remote started automatically. I am still trying to troubleshoot why the truck will not always start on the first attempt. It will always start on the second attempt but gives me problems on the first start about 50% of the time. I have switched the tach, ground, and tried re-programming but nothing is working. I am also a little confused because the wiring instructions for my vehicle state I can grab tach at an injector but not to use brown, black, or pink. All of the wires at the injectors are black and pink. Which wire is correct ??
