I am debating on whether or not to do this car for someone.. It looks like it has a few confusing parts (mux starter, door lock wire inside the door, relay needed for parking lights, etc)..

What I was wondering is if someone could sway me one way or another. I've done prolly about 25 cars so far..

I have an account at both bypasskit.com and with Crimestopper. Is there a certain bypass that will make this install easy?

I see that the CH-U.2 from Crimestopper will do the locks and trunk at the bypass (but not the mux, alarm, or the parking lights).

I see that the CH-TBU.2 from Crimestopper will do the Mux and the alarm but not the locks, parking lights, or trunk..

Anyone have any comments / suggestions for me?

I will either be installing a Crimestopper RS1704TW2 or a EZ-55DP.

Thanks much.

On most new Chryslers I have been doing a lock/lock system. Like the DEI 561T, the customer pushes lock 3x and the vehicle starts. Or a one button starter that will give better range but eliminate the need to door alarm/door locks. It keeps integration to a minimum and makes install simpler.   I use the Omega branded PKU-CH2 on these vehicles, it eliminates the need for resistors and cutting the second starter/accessory wire.

The XK532 does everyhing, mux, locks, sentry key.. It's spendy in price but works great, makes for an easier install..

Nice! So it does locks, mux, alarm, trunk, and the sentry? So basically the only PITA part would be the relay for the parking lights?

I would have no reason to open up the door for the locks wire because the XK532 does it?

Yep, just make sure when you order it, you getthe corrct firmware in it, unless ya have the programmer. I have had pretty good luck with these units any problems I have had have been the vehicles themselvs not taking the new transponder. Like I said, they are spendy and kind of bulky..
