can factory alarms activte add on remote starts, my jeep has a factory alarm i don't want to put an alarm in i just want the factory alarm activte the add on remote start

Yes. Many manufacturers make remote starters to activate from the factory remote.

But, the distance will be limited to the same amount you have now.

You should first verify that you can lock and unlock the doors from inside your house with the remote you have now.

Also, keep in mind that you're not going to be able to remote start the car from the shopping mall, office buildings, and so forth.

Also, you should check if the factory alarm will allow the car to start and not set off the factory alarm.

also, make sure you can use your factory remotes after you have remote started (can you use your factory remote with ignition on)

if not, your going to have to unlock your doors manually
