I just installed a code alarm ca670 on my 2006 dodge ram and everything is working fine except after arm it after a few minutes or someitmes an hour or so it chirps 5 times (warning chirp). I used the chdlpk2 bypass module. I cut the input trigger to the brain to see if that was the problem but it still does it. What could be causing this? I have checked and double checked all my connections and everything is fine.

Try turning the sensitivity down a little, and see what happens. Could just be a bad shock sensor, but i doubt it. I use code and have never had a bad shock. What input trigger did you cut, the shock sensor input?

I cut the input for the door trigger thinking maybe it needed to be diode isolated. The shock sensor is built in on this unit. I tapped on the window to check its sensativity and it seems normal, maybe a bit sensative but not too bad. I will give it shot anyway.

yeah, your door trigger shouldnt cause it to chirp 5 times...... that trigger would be instant and would cause the alarm to fully trigger.

Disconnect the shock sensor and test, if it doesnt make any noise, you know it is the shock sensor or the setting,

Since the shock sensor is built in I dont know if I can disable it but I will turn it all the way down and see what happens.

Ok, update. I turned the shock sensor way down and it fixed the problem. I didnt think this was it because I had to hit the front pillar of the truck to get it to chirp, maybe something clicks under the dash or something, I dont know and dont care...problem solved. Thanks for the help.
