I am installing a Remote start in an 07 dodge Ram 3500 and cannot find the starter wire. all my diagrams say it is a green with yellow wire, but that wire doesn't exist. And none of the wires coming out of the ignition switch are testing for starter either. I know there has got to be a starter wire somewhere in the ignition harness but it must be hiding. Anyone have any suggestions?

Welcome to the '07 Ram System- ..........

They don't use a starter wire-- they have a MUX system- do a search for MUX on this site and you will see the two relays you need to wire it up- when the accessory drops out and the ignition is on- the starter activates through the given resistances on the diagram......

Thats because there isn't one... It's purpl / brown through 180 ohm resistor and the accy 1 same wire 610 ohms...   This is NOT a easy install if you are unframiliar with this type of system. I strongly recomend the XK532 from bypasskits.com to do all of this chrysmer multiplexed crap... It works really nice and also does sentry key also.   Like I said if you are NOT in any way comfortable with this don't do it!, bring it to a pro shop. There are all kinds of glitches and bugs that pop up with these dodges if things arn't done just right... Read some of the past posts on ANY new doge ram question.. This will give you an idea of what a PITA they can be...

thanks for the reply guys...I am not a newbie installer, and I do have an electronics degree from a 4 year college, so I know about relays and such. This is just the first Dodge I have run into with this type of system. I will do some more research on this site...this really is a great site, just wish I could hang out here more :)
