I have a sr6000 pro security alarm with a 556L GM passlock module. I have both ignition wires hooked up Pink ign 1 and white Ign#2. Now I did forget to hook up the 2nd ign White wire before I installed the passlock mod, and I notice the auto tranny wont shift normal. The tranny shift normal just useing the key. My question is do I need to reset the alarm or the passlock ? Or am I missing something else. Thanks in advance.

You need to hook up the orange wire in the ignition harness as the third ignition. Make sure brown is hooked up as accessory. You shouldn't have to reprogram your module since it is starting the truck.

ORANGE wire is ACC and BROWN is not needed for remote start. You need to have the WHITE wire hooke dup as a 2nd IGN and the PINK wire as well.

I did hook up both the pink Ign wire and the white ign wire and I still get the tranny issue. Any other idea what might cause this issue? It only does it when useing the remote start. When useing the key every thing works normal.

Test to make sure that the wire going to the WHITE 2nd IGN wire is in fact receiving 12 volts when under remote start. Also, how long did you travel while under remote start with no 2nd IGN wire being powered ?

One of the programs I use for my diagrams lists the orange wire as ignition 3. The other lists it as acc. I had this same issue with a 2001 Monte Carlo a couple of years ago. It turned out that I had the wrong tach wire hooked up. Disconnect the tach wire and try it.

I will double check the wire for the 2nd ign but im pretty sure it had 12 volts when under remote start. If not what do I need to to. Also, I only drove about 1-2 miles and never went above 40 mph.
