I curently installed an aps-996prestige remote start  system on my 1990 isuzu amigo(manual transmission)and the installation went quite well.... I hooked the safety switch to the ground side of the emergency brake, the alarm will only start when the car has the emergency brake on, nevrtheless, I know that this is not 100% safe, so if anyone knows how to make it safer, where the car wont engaged in gear, if there is a wire or something that I can do to the transmission, please let me know. The last thing I want is an accident..If there is anything that is not done right or not approved please let me know

You should install a starter that is designed to work with a manual transmission.  Nothing else is safe.  As it is the ones that are designed for manual transmission have too many flaws for my liking.

Player, I appreciate the comment, however I'm still in dire straits and need of some additional help. I got an excellent payment plan, so I jumped on it.

g peeney , the alrm is definitely easy to install and has a numerous amount of channel.. the range is pretty good.. The only drawback is some of the features, a bit confusing but easy to learn..
