I need some help on the installation of the 561r and 457gw units in a 2005 silverado. I've already got the wiring diagrams from numerous companies. I am wanting to use the unit with the factory key faub using the pulse at the factory actuator ( Since there really are no things as inexpensive models on the GM's anymore.) questions i have are the

1.  On the 457 gw unit what all wires need to be connected including the 3 pin harness, other than power, ground, and violet to the vehicle?

2. And on the 561 r unit what else would cause a diagnostics 6 code (+/- shutdown) to be thrown, I have the following wires connected

T-Harness to hook up all 6 heavy gauge wires

white parking light output - BCM pin

Black to chasis Ground  -

violet/white to tach  at the A5 pin behind gauges

Brown brake wire to white pin above brake

grey hood pin showing ground

BLACK/ white nuetral safety shutdown showing ground

All the while getting #6 diagnostic codes with no attempt from unit to start the vehicle. I have searched the forums on problems like mine but nothing similar a few that were close.  Any help would be greatly appreciated thanks in advance.

hood pin should see an open circuit. only ground when the hood is open, thus preventing the remote start from activating. also, the 3 pin plug on the 457 won't be needed for your truck. however you need to hook up the staus input on the 457g so it knows when the truck is going to remote start
