im working on installing an alarm in a 1996 ford F150. the door lock wires are showing a pink / YELLOW for the lock and a pink/light green for the unlock and it says to reverse the polarity on the unlock wire my alarm has neg output triggers for the door locks wondering do i need to get a relay and reverse polarity on one of the wires the lock or unlock and if so which one if someone could help i would greatly appericate it thanks

Negative trigger on the keyless-entry versions and 5-wire on all the rest. 5 wire both the lock and unlock wires.Use drivers switch when testing for switch and motor sides. The wires are much easier to access on the passenger side due to the E-brake blocking the drivers kick.

the truck has no factory keyless system so what your saying is i need to get 2 relays and reverse polarity on the pink / YELLOW wire--door lock and the pink/light green wire-- unlock how its done in the diagram and how do u tell what side is the switch and what side is the motor how do i go about that??

Cut the wire and  put your meter on one end of  it, push the switch....if your meter jumps, you got the switch side. posted_image
