I recently got a Viper 5900 and 507M tilt sensor from a friend who never got around to installing it in his car. I'm planning on installing it on my 99 Civic and only want to install the alarm side of it and not the remote start (manual tranny and wouldn't use it anyway). I think I've figured it all out, but have 3 questions.

1) Do I need to install the relay satellite wire harness? Looking at the manual it appears this is part of the remote start function and shouldn't be necessary for install just the alarm.

2) Does anyone have the wiring diagram and instructions for the tilt sensor? My friend seems to have lost this.

3) What do I connect the tilt sensor to? Does it get wired in with the shock sensor or is there a separate wire for it? Like the "H1/7 Blue (-) multiplex input, zone 4" wire?

Thanks.

1) You need to hook up the yellow Ignition input wire to the vehicle's ignition wire on the ribbon harness so the system knows when the vehicle ignition is on. Without this connection you would not be able to put the system into valet mode and also would not be able to change of the programmable options. The starter kill circuit is also part of the XCRS, you could just use a relay activated via the H1 orange ground when armed output for your starter kill.

2) You can pick up the installation manual for the 507M here.

3) Yes

Would I need to hook up any other wires for the starter kill though the XCRS other than the yellow ignition wire? Also is it ok to wire the trunk pin switch (blue/black (-)) together with the hood pin to H3/4 Gray (-) hood pin switch input so they both report Zone 1?

Thank you for the manual.

Scratch what I said. Like a dummy I didn't think/check what I was saying. Sorry.

For the starter kill to work I need to cut the starter wire and one side is attached to the purple (+) starter output and the other side is attached to the green starter input of the relay satellite wires (heavy gauge). Correct? Are there any other wires from the relay satellite (other than the ribbon cable between the alarm and satellite) necessary to be hooked up for the starter kill, valet/programming modes to function?
