My transmitter will start the car and arm/disarm but will not receive confirmation back from vehicle unless within 50 feet or so.  It will start from 1/4 mile or so but will not receive.  There is three pot's in transmitter but I'm not sure which one or how to go about calibration.

Any info would be great.....

This system is about 1 year old.  When it was new it would transmit and receive from about the same distance.  I was told that the transmitter could fall out of calibration from abuse or dropping, but that you could readjust the frequency with the potentsiometers to correct the problem.

Sir:

This is incorrect information. Unless you have a scope and a spectrum analyzer, donot attempt to tune this yourself.

The three tuning coils must be tuned in sequence. To try and tune this yourself will make the system worse or inoperable.

The first thing I would check is the battery in the pager remote, then your connection to your battery source of the alarm and then the receiver itself.
