Hi All, Finally getting around to installing a r/s into a 2006 Torrent and it looks pretty straight forward. I am just curious if someone can give me an idea of the difficulty or tricks it might take to get to the ign wires and to the bcm behind the radio, ie were the panels easy to take off to expose these wires. any hints or advise would be greatly appreciated.

Thank-you in advance

The wires are very easy to get to. You have to remove the shifter trim and the HVAC control trim to reveal the BCM wires. Use a right angle pick to pry the trim up enough to get your fingers under the trim and pry the trim towards you and then release the plugs that are attached to the HVAC and the hazards & such. The ignition, accessory & power wires you can get at the ignition switch.

If your just installing a remote start don't waste your time going to the BCM there's no need. You can drop the underdash panel and grab all your necessary wires from there.

It's still a good idea to get your door locks, door triggers, OEM disarm & brake wires there.
