I recently had a Ford T-Bird and Installed a Cyclone C-2000 Alarm that was given to me as a gift. The install was easy since the Ford has a positive (+) for most of it's components. However, I now own a 1997 Dodge Caravan and will move the Alarm to that vehicle. I install all the wiring as indicated in the manual that came with the Alarm except I couldn't figure out the Power Lock and Door/Trunk input part. The Caravan power locks is a single wire system that uses a negative pulse to unlock and lock. I found the wire indicated in the Caravan at the BCM for the lock/unlock wire which was WHITE/ Light Green strip. Now the harness for the alarm shows the following:

Six Wires:  Cyclone C-2000 Alarm Central Locking Diagram with Factory (-) pulse Control

UNLOCK:

NC-ORANGE / Green=X

COM-GREEN / WHITE (-) Unlock Output

NO-BROWN / Green=Ground

LOCK:

NC-ORANGE / Blue=X

COM-Blue/White=(-) Lock Output

NO-BROWN / Blue=Ground

Now as for the Door Trigger part. I located the wire at the Doom on off switch (BROWN / Light Green or BROWN / Dark Green) and connected a 775 Relay to it and it did not work. Where did I go wrong on this one.

Alarm Trigger wire is Brown (-) Door/Trunk Input (2Wires) and it has a white (+) Door/Input as well. Since this is a Caravan then the Brown wire for the Alarm will be used. I connected the Dome Light wire in vehicle to the 87, The Brown Alarm Wire to the 86, did not use the 87a, grounded the 30, and gave 12volt constant on 10amp fuse to the 85 on the relay. But this didn't work. So what went wrong here.

I like doing this task myself and have been doing fairly well with other alarms but this caravan has been a bit confusing. Thanking you all in advance for the information.

NC, not used. NO, goes to ground. Common thru resisters to the lock/unlock wire. You will use 4 of the six wires

Lock is thru 1.5kohms. Unlock is thru 250ohms.     If the vehicle came with factory security, lock is thru 4kohms. Unlock is thru 620ohms.

Now as for the Door Trigger part. I located the wire at the Doom on off switch (BROWN / Light Green or BROWN / Dark Green) and connected a 775 Relay to it and it did not work. Where did I go wrong on this one.     . THIS is what I have. you should not need a relay for door trigger. Connect your posative trigger input to this wire here.
