2007 camry becu

Okay I think I'm too fat. Trying to get to the wires in the back of the Fush box (BECU) but I can't seem to reach them. Is there a better way. Should I unbolt the fuse box? Will it give me enough slack. I'm striping the wires and soldering NOT using taps. Just can't find/get to the wires for door/trunk. thanks

I just finished remote start on this car, camry xle 2007. IT was crazy and long, but everything works now. The lock /unlock wire is located at the harness where the wires in from the driver door. Color guide , check vehicle wiring on top. As for starter, there're two wires. Wire the second starter in a relay.

Yeah but I'm having problem reaching the Body ECU stuff... i.e. Door and trunk sensor (-). I know guide says that it's located in the BECU which is suppose to be in the back of the fuse box (which I assume is facing the car firewall right?) Anyways I was on my back, looking for the wires for the longest time.   Got tire and I was cramping :-) Must be an easier way. thanks for any advice.

Absolutely no reason to go there. Door trigger is a brown wire, front of BECU in a plug right/center(just below the yellow plug). The trunk wire is white in the drivers kick, blue plug facing rear of car near the door jamb. You can get parking light positive in the front of the BECU, green in the 3rd large plug from the top on the left. Brake wire is in the same plug, blue....

I did have to get the four separate, individual doorpin wires once for a manual-tramsmission remote start.......man, that sucked! I don't look forward to doing that again.

The brown all-door trigger wire MikeM2 mentioned is also in the steering column harness, going to the courtesy light around the keyhole.

thanks Mike M2 and Chris Luongo... i'm gonna try it today.  Looking at the DEI Car wiring they said not to use the positive for the parking light because it's at rest on the relay.  I guess thats not the case right?  Also since I will be installing a Clifford RSX 3.5 (same as viper 791vx) can I directly connect the postive parking light wire to the postive parking light on the car.  It said in the manual that the unit could handle 10amps.  Of course I will be fusing it. 

I haven't tried positive parking lights on a Camry, but I'd believe MikeM2, as DEI puts out a lot of innacurate info. They claim the same thing about parkng lights on the Avalon, but it's untrue.

But, your product can easily be converted to negative parking lights too. The instructions should tell you how to move the little jumper on the brain, which changes the output.

I actually found the positive parking light wire on a thread right here on this forum! Since then i've done at least a couple dozen and used that wire everytime with no problems.

Just want to say thanks Mike... Finally did the install and your wiring was perfect. So no need to reach the BECU nor diode isolate the door. Also a tip, we don't need to wire up the dome light supervision. The reason is that when the camry unlocks, the domelight comes on automatically.

After the vehicle is remote started, the domelight won't come on so if you want it to, be sure to hookup the dome supervision. This is the case with most hondas/acuras and GM's if using a d/l bypass.
