hi can anone explain the simplest way to bypass the Vats system in this 97 Lesabre.

The easiest way to permanently bypass the VATS is to measure the resistance across the pellet in the key, cut the VATS wires in the vehicle and solder a matching resistor across the cut wires leaving the wires to the key cylinder insulated but disconnected.

Doing it this way permanently disables the factory antitheft system however, so ensure that whoever you are doing it for knows this before you do it.

To bypass only during remote start you would follow this diagram.
