Hi,

We installed a Pro 2W900FMAs in a 07 Dodge Ram Diesel. We used the bypass kit bypass module. The only problem that we are having is the unit defalts to a start time of 3 min not 15.

Now the weird part is the back up white remote starts for 15 but the 2 way displays and starts for only 3 min.

I called Compustar and they have no idea about it.

Anyone lese have similiar issues?

Thanks

Have you used the programmer to change the start time & then reprogram both remote controls ?

yes. it is diesel and changed the wait to start time to 40 seconds.

Other than that no. But why would it do it only on the 2 way,. It is not a remote issue as i have changed it already

Try swapping out the brain, if its only the 2 way it could be something with the comm circuit.

Hey did you try to replace your antenna? That can be the issue as well. Try antenna first.

i worked at an authorized pro dealer shop and those things are junk they should save everyone the trouble and dont even release the new ss models until they address all the problems with their current products the vs1 models suck too had a cold spell -4 deg. they dont work pulled the vehicle in and took a heat gun to the module got it about 30 to 40 degrees and then it worked properly. COMPUSTAR way overrated. QC sucks 3 years ago there products were good.

So is it the SS models that have the majority of the problems....or the entire line up of the "pro" product?

The  Pros have alot of bugs and glitches in it.

The remotes tend to stop transmitting, or one of the buttons stop working. Most of my problems ive encoutered with the Pro have all been Remote issues.

Yes i believe the Pro was released WAY WAY too early.

The older 900's are all awesome, never had one problem yet! and ive done tons of them

I've done quite a few ( over 50 2 ways ) of them this year and have had only one that had range problems. Swapped out both antenna and remote and problem solved. Guess you had a bad batch cause the units that we're installing and selling have not had as many problems as you stated.

ive done about 20 pros and im speaking of about 5 that have had issues.

But the 5 i had problems with were mostly from the first shipment of Pros, the recent few i dont think ive had problems with.

Hit and Miss i guess

I have had not too many issues with the Pro. I love the older units but people want the new stuff.

I will try a new brain and new antenna like suggested

Any other options?

Don't forget to replace the remote controls along with the antenna. This is a must if communication problems arise to change both , not just one.

Im gunna agree. Change the antenna and the remotes. If that doesn't solve it, worst case scenario then change out the brain.

i doubt its the wiring because you said the 1 way remote will give it a 15 minute run time.
