Ok I blew my alarm (Aladddin A-2000) brain because I supposedly didnt diode isolate...
the relays came with a diode already attactched but the guy at their tech support told me it didnt really work and I need to diode isolate!
Ok so the alarm send a negative signal to a relay that turns it positive and sends it to a second ignition... he said I need to install a inline diode so I said ok.. NOW here is the question...
Do I install it on the 86 terminal where the negative signal is coming from the alarm or do i install it on the 85 terminal where a positive signal is going to the ignition?? Or do I install it to the number 30 terminal which is connected to second ignition??
And which way do i face the diode... I am assuming it is either the 85 or 86 terminsal so if i install it on the 86 where the negative signal comes from i face the cathode side to the alarm? Or if I install it on the 85 terminal I face the anode side to the relay and the cathode to the second ignition wire it is goign to but where do I put the diode???

even easier take that negative wire from the brain of the system and put it in line using but connectors , ps dont crimp to tight the strip of diode has to be on the modules side and the non strip side should face the relay but basically test it anyways , put the strip in the line and make sure you get negative out of it , if you dont flip it and test again.

ok so it basically goes

and the sripe face the alarm wire.... this will keep feedback from occuring correct?? IM just wondering why the hell the alarm doesnt have this built in for protection!

What are you using the relay for ?? In most applications the diode is not needed , but it depends on the application.

2 relays
1 relay is for clutch bypass
other relay is for second ignition my car has... and the people at PME who make it told me to use it cuz thtas probably the reason the alarm blew... IT only blew after testing the remote start I exited car for it to stay on which it did but then it started buzzing and the brain was ded

ok on the second ignition I have that exact setup(EDIT NO I DONT)
I use diagram 2 pg 18
87 fused 12v 85 ignition 1 30 ignition 2 86 p9 gray wire from alarm
On the clutch bypass I have a different setup though
the clutch system has one wire that has +12V when hiting start and the oither measure ground until you push the clutch in...
SO I have a relay that has 86 and 87 fused to 12v constand 30 to the wire of the clutch that will show 12 volts after the clutch is pressed and the 85 pin goes to the alarm unit?? Do you think its the clutch being hooked up wrong that could have casued this?
again it only blew after I did all the step and took the key out the car kept running but the alarm started buzzing immediately thats why I thought it may be feedback from the second ignition relay and the people there said it is probably that and you need a diode.. however I know you sell these as give a lot of help on them as I have read many of your posts on this alarm
