i am trying to install a python 660xp alarm in my 97 honda civic lx. i was wondering if i need to use relays for my keyless entry or if i can just tap into the lock and unlock wires? also, is there a wire that i can tap into that will trigger my alarm when the hood is opened?

You should not need relays to trigger the door locks in the 97 Civic.

To get the alarm to trigger when the hood is open you will have to install your own hood pin, there is none from the factory.

Installer, IT support, and FFL. I need less hobbies.

You'll be ok going direct to the (-) lock and unlock wires. As for the hood pin, the car doesn't come with one, so you will have to add that.
