Anyone having problems or know of problems with the new Viper 7900. I had one professionally installed in my 2005 Chevy Avalanche almost 2 months ago. It responds to the remote but the verification command back to the remote does not, it gives the out of range signal, I even tried inside the vehicle with the same result. It will only confirm on the 2nd or 3rd try.  I went back to installer immediately who then said he called DEI tech help and was told that it was a known problem with all the 7900’s the problem DEI said was not the antenna or the remote but is a malfunction in the brain which DEI is aware of and trying to fix.  When the defect is corrected they will ship out the replacement 7900’s.  As of last week installer says still no fix.  Is this true what I am being told? Thanks

Unfortunately, yes it is true but I have no doubt that they will get the bugs worked out of them. When they were released my shop ordered 2 and both have done what you have said you are experiencing.
