I have installed a 562T with a 457GW data module in my 2006 suburban, and need a little help with a couple of things. When I start the truck with the remote the parklights flash. When it gets dark outside and you start it with remote the headlights flash instead of the parklights. Is there a way to bypass this so just the parklights will flash even at night? Also, I cannot get the unlock drivers door only(second unlock output on 562T) to work like the factory remote. Can you help me?

Parking lights:  Set them to steady output instead of flashing lights.  The headlights will still turn on at night because the truck turns them on when it is dark out and the ignition is on, but it will stop the annoying flashing.

The 457G does not have driver's door priority unlocking in it's software.  To achieve this you would have to use the second unlock output from the 562T (H1 Blue) to the 457G unlock input.  Then you would use the door unlock output (Door Lock Blue) to a 5-wire setup on the unlock side of the driver's door actuator.

Could I replace the 457GW with a 1700G? Does the 1700G do the drivers door unlock only? Is the 1700G worth investing in?

If you really want the driver's priority unlocking then yes I would suggest a data module that can do it to save the aggravation of 5-wiring the driver's actuator.

The 1700G does offer driver's priority unlocking, I would also recommend looking into the GMDL-BP. I have had great success with this piece.
