Hi, Im installing a alarm in to my japanese imported 1992 honda civic hatch... so far have everything hooked up and working u(siren. central locking etc) apart from the door sensors and power window..
The Alarm these 2 wires coming out;
One blue black wire labeled "power window negative trigger" (window auto up when armed)
and one blue wire labeled "door negative trigger"
Ive tried running the door sensor wire directly to the drivers side to test it - and obviously a result... but need to find the central location behind the fuse box area for both doors.. I've found several good civic 92 - 95 wiring diagrams but they dont show the locations or are rather vague... the same goes for the power windows on the drivers side door - tested the switch inside the door but can't get both windows to go up automatically when the alarm has been "armed" this is a chinese made alarm but is surprisingly good quality - but very poor on the instructions side of things... have searched net and found v little on this
The one for "door negative trigger" is so the alarm knows the door is open so it can sound the siren. On a 92 civic the wire that will cover both doors is a small light green w/ red and is located in the drivers side kick panel, dig around and you will find it..not too many wires in that car.
The wire for "power window negative trigger" is not designed to work the windows directly in your vehicle, but it can in a few others. To do your vehicle correctly for widow roll up you need to add a seperate window module..then that wire can be used to send the windows up whenever you arm the system.
hope I helped

thanks for your reply... hear what you're saying about the power window.. can you;
Recommend what type of window module I need to buy? and basic outline as to location for install.. i.e. kick panel or in drivers side door where central control is..
Also, regarding the door sensors in the "drivers side kick panel" - do you mean behind the fuse area? Left or right of fuse box area? would that wire be connected to the main fuse board? and if so where? Im from New Zealand so never heard of "kick panel" before... but really appreciate your help!
Cheers
Get in the car. take your left foot and kick it to the left.....the plastic piece your foot hits, is the kick panel. If you pull the cover you will find the wire in there.

That is correct...the negative door wire is behind the panel on the left side underdash area. Remove the panel and look for that color wire in a harness there and test ..should be no problem.
For the window module there are several brands out there. I use popular ones from directed electronics (DEI) either 529T or 530t, Both are for 2 window but the 530 will giver your stock switches automation as well. I usually mount the module wherever the switches are..in your case I would mount it in the door. This way you can do all your connections there and ground it as well. You will need to run 12v constant fused and the trigger wire from the alarm (2 if you are doing up and down) and that's it.
Make sure the module is mounted securly so it does not bounce around. Also place it so it will not get wet...normally between the door panel and water seal (that white plastic stuff on the inner door skin.)
If you want to do window roll up as well you can connect any aux negative output leftover on the alarm brain. This way when you arm it the windows will roll up (using the negative window output wire you already mentioned) and if you want to roll them down you can press channel 2 or 3 or whatever you decide that your system has (some have as many as 7 extra outputs or more..most have 2 or 3).
