2003 Pontiac Grand am se

Found a new wiring profile in this vehicle on the VATS system. Yellow White and black After defining the wires with a computer safe test light, the vehicle would no longer start. Any input or help would be appreciated..

is the security light flashing or solid??? What did you actually do with the wires???

?? VATS ?? All 2003 Pontiac Grand Am's are Passlock II not VATS. If there's 3 wires like you stated, then it's a Passlock II( VATS only has 2 wires)

Using a "computer safe" test light on Passlock wires was your first problem. You may have done some permanent damage. Try leaving the battery disconected for at least 30 minutes. Then when you try to start it let us know what the 'security' light is doing. Also, has any of the wiring been tapped into? Does the car start and then immediately die, or will it not even turn over?

First of all, I'm sorry for getting my terminoligy wrong, VATS vs Passlock II.

I've been out of the business for 5 years and before that my last position was management rather than installation.

As far as the proces goes, I knew that the passlock would be a problem to address so I started there. I have not touched any other electricals.  I saw that  the wired were a different color than the what the sheet stated so I used a computer safe (LED) test light to confirm which wires were switched and constant ground. After confirming the wires, I checked to make sure the car would start and found that it would not. There was no shorting or non signal while I was testing.

I have tried disconecting the battery for 2 hours and the car still will not start, and the security light is flashing when the key is in the on position.

Added info,

The car turns over but does not start.

None of the wires have been tapped into

turn the key on and let sit for 15 minutes. that should reset the passlock and then the vehicle should start.
