Just finished installing a Prestige 750a alarm w/remote start. Guess what? The remote start does not work, when i push the button, it only locks and light flash.  This is the wire diagram i used

12V----------------Red

Starter------------Yellow

Ignition-----------Dk. Blue

2nd Ignition-----Blk/Orange

ACC---------------Blk/White

Door Trigger----Yellow(-)

Tach---------------Blk/Gray(-)

Brake Wire-------WHITE/ Tan

Tach Wire programs very well into the alarms and recommends a good point of contact with light flashing.

Don't understand where to connect the remote start control switch wire. Supposingly, i should connect the black wire to the neutral safety wire for the P/U.  I also grounded the negative shutdown wire because i didn't want a pinswitch.

Any sugguestions?

Just frustrated,

Sal

Hi Sal, disconnect the negative shut down wire from ground. This will always prevent it from starting. It's meant to be connected to a hood pin so that whenever the hood is open, this wire sees ground and the unit will not start. BTW, you didn't mention what vehicle you're installing this into, I'm guessing a Dodge truck?, but let us know.

The control wire connects to an on/off switch that interupts ground when off to prevent the unit from starting. If you don't want  this feature, then connect this lead to ground.

It's a 2000 dodge truck and i did remove ground from both the neutral safety switch and the negative shutdown wire and still would not start.  Could it be the alarm module? Triple check all wires, for sure i connected to their right wires. Any suggestions?

Thanks,

Sal
