2007 rav4 dome light trigger

  I just installed a CODE Alarm CA-630 on a 2007 Toyota RAV4. It uses the Dome Light to trigger the alarm should a door be open. My problem is the factory dome light supervision which comes on for about 15 seconds after the engine shuts down. The problem this is causing is that when I remote start the vehicle & I don't disarm the alarm with the remote control before it times out, the dome light comes on & triggers the alarm. (The dome light stays on for about 15 seconds). In order to prevent the alarm from going off when I'm home, (should I not get to the vehicle before it times out), is to disarm the alarm first & then remote start which will also relock the doors. That is fine at home where I can see the vehicle & monitor the beeps & parking lights. The problem is at work when I want to start the vehicle before leaving & I have no visual sight to the vehicle. I try the same procedure as at home. But since I can't see the vehicle, at times the alarm may have not received a good signal to turn the alarm off but a good remote start signal & the alarm goes off if I don't get to it on time. Other times it has received a good disarm/unlock signal but not a remote start signal & find it with unlocked door & no start.
  Is there a fix for my problem. I have now the dome light trigger disconnected & I'm relying only on the units shock sensor.

I don't have any info on the vehicle, but i imagine there are probably seperate door triggers you could use. This would take care of the problem.

Mode systems now will ignore the domelight turning on when the remote start times out. I guess Code hasn't added that feature yet. I would do as the person above said and use the seperate door triggers.

I only have info for the 2006, but it should be the same as 2007:

The LF door is white at the fuse box, top left, 30 pin plug, pin 21. The RF door is brown at the fuse box, top right, 16 pin plug, pin 14. The LR door is lt. blue in the driver kick, 20 pin plug, pin 13, or at the Body ECU, 26 pin plug, pin 8. The RR door is lt. green at the fuse box, top, 14 pin plug, pin 7. Use all four wires and diode isolate each.

The Body ECU is attached to the back of the fuse box.

f I need to connect each of the door triggers & isolate with diodes, do I connect the anode or cathode to the alarm's trigger wire?
Also is there a fifth trigger wire for the rear door to connect & if so do you have that location & color wire.

I can never remember which side of the diode is the anode, which is the cathode. The side with the stripe goes on the car door trigger side.

The line on the diode is the cathode. At one time the complete symbol use to be printed on the diode when they use to be much larger. It looked like an "arrow", the "anode", pointing to the line, the "cathode". Thus I allways think of the letter "A" of arrow with the "A" for anode pointing to the line, the cathode.

If you use the actual dome light wire on a 4 Runner the same thing happens. The light comes on when the Rs turns off. On the 4 Runner it can be fixed by simply not hooking up the accessory wire to the RS.

 If I don't connect the accessory wire to the remote starter, would it not be possible to have the AC or heater run during remote start? I just don't want to warm up the engine but also cool or heat up the interior.

 I tested the system with the accessory wire disconnected. This did stop the alarm from beeing triggered when it times out. However being  that this vehicle has AUTO CLIMATE CONTROL only the fan runs & dosen't know if I want heat or AC. There is no manual setting for the climate control.

 I checked my installation manual & it has a Door Trigger Delay option in the programming called "Door trigger ignored 60 seconds after start. It is turned on but it doesn't help me with my problem. I need is a "trigger ignored for 60 seconds after shut off.

Well it seemed the best solution was to find all 5 door trigger wires & wire them up to the alarm system with diode isolation. So thats what I did, all doors are now protected & it's working fine.
