So I want to hook up several strobes to my alarm, so once triggered they remain on. So far I've figured out that I need to convert my (+) horn output to (-) and then use a Momentary to Constant Output relay setup. My friend brought to light that if I do this, when my alarm chirps to lock/unlock the srobes will go off. Is there something I can use that will only activate the relays after say a 2 sec constant output. Also are there any good timer's out there that I could use instead, for the strobes to go off for say an hour after the alarm stops. TIA

Use your ground when armed to trigger a relay to turn on your lights. Thgis would be the same output you would use for starter kill. Sounds simple? -------------

So this will trigger when the alarm is activated, not chirped. My alarm is the black widow bwx5, it's the BLACK/ red wire if I'm understanding you correctly. Thanks

well an easy fix would be to go into the programming and turn off confirmation chirps.....the car will lock and unlock silently and then only flash the strobes when going off. Are there options in the programming to only make the siren confirm commands? and then have the horn go off during the alarm cycle?

Yes, but that is precicley what i'm trying to avoid, I want my alarm to chirp. Can someone explain why I would connect to my starter kill?

You would not connect to the starter kill, you would simply use the trigger (ground when armed) to turn your lights on, thru a relay. Would you re word what you are trying to do. you want the lights to be on "when", and be off "when"

Sorry for the confustion...I want the strobes to be on when my alarm goes off (not chirpes) and to be off when I disconect the circut manually. My problem has been finding a way to keep the chirps but for the strobes to go off when the alarm goes off, not just ignition is tried.
