My father has a 99 jeep cherokee which each door has a switch to power the windows, and the driver can also power each window. The problem is that something broke on the other 3 (passenger) switches and those cant be used to power the windows. Instead, he must use the drivers one to power the other 3 windows. Sounds like something broke in the connector at the door. But if a passenger holds down their button and he tries to roll up/down that window using his switch, it wont work until the passenger lets off their switch. Also, the driver side speaker doesnt work. Could if be possible that some wires broke off where the door hinges to the car?

I'd start by checking out the drivers door.  It is unlikely that every other door has a broken switch, and more likely that the problem is centralized in the drivers door.  This could also account for the nonworking drivers speaker aswell.  I'm guessing water logged.

Check out the wiring going through the door boot into the drivers door. we have repaired numoerous problems with jeep cherokees in the drivers door. I personal have strung new wiring into the doors because of speakers in op and or window problems.

power windows on that car are controlled by the bcm, which is part of the fuse panel. check into that.

Ive seen the speaker wires fail in those jeeps more times than i can count and i always just run new wires into the door.  As far as your windows go, a freind of mine has a jeep that had the same issue and i think he just replaced the entire switch assembly for the driver door.  I think it had something to do with the part of the switch that locks out  the passenger switches.  If you know anyone else with a similar jeep see if they will let you pull out their switch assembly and plug it in to yours.  im pretty sure the new  switch will fix your problem.
