I installed an Autopage 855l on an '06 Kia Sportage and have a few quirks.
>> First off if the car is running I cannot unlock the doors. When the car is off everything works fine. I followed the relays as depicted in the Autopage manual and cut the wires as well (as depicted).
>> Second, If I use remote start to turn on and off the car the parking lights remain on until I open the drivers door (or start it I don't remember) . . . I think it is a feature on this car to have the parking lights on when a key is in the ignition. I just don't know how to bypass it. Any suggestions?
Thanks for looking/replying
If you are using the OE remotes to control your remote start....the locks will NOT work. period.
Is it the auto lights that stay on? you can use a "pulse after" to shut them off. Find the drivers door pin blue (NEG)- wire a relay, needs to be a strong pulse, and pulse the door pin wire, the lights will shut off. Maybe use the factory arm as your trigger? I read the install manual. The H10/13 wire brown and white can be programmed to pulse after the remote start times out, or when you hit the lock. Read this in your install manual

The car did not have factory remotes. Everything works fine from the Autopage remotes but the locks do not unlock when the car is on and I am inside the car. (Say I am picking some one up and need to unlock the car).
The daytime running lights do not come on but the parking lights do . . . It is a feature of the car that when you have the key in the ignition the parking lights come on and dash illuminated etc.
I have 2 possible lock wire colors.
From the Astrochart: lock is brown, unlock is pink. Found in yellow connector in drivers kick
Wiremagic: lock is green, unlock is blue.
All are negative pulse

I used the Green and Blue ones . . . I think two wires of each (Drivers side and pass side)? . . . All locks work except when car is on . . so I think relay is not being powered or something?
