99 Pontiac Sunfire 5 speed coupe. No start. Before you blast me for the wrong forum, does the fact that the anti-theft light is on disable the starter crank circuit. There appears to be no power at the clutch switch wires. Am I on the right track, and what forum do I need for the rest of the story.

Are you adding a remote start, or does the car just not start with the key?.....The car does have passlock which could cause the car not to fire, but it should still crank. -------------

You can leave the post here. If the starter cranks and doesn't stay running, it's the Passlock system engaged. The Passlock light will be flashing on the dash. If there's no Passlock light on with the key in the ON position and no cranking of the engine, then there's a different problem. Check to see that the starter fuse isn't blown as well as the starter relay is in fact still good.

unhook your battery, touch the positive and negative cables together to discharge system while unhooked, let sit for 5-10 mins, check all fuses rehook up battery and see what happens.
