last week i posted a ? concerning the location of door lock wiring for 96 lexus ls400. i found a g/red and g/black in pass. door but these wires only lock and unlock all doors except for the driver's. any suggestions please help confused installers.

You may have to go straight to the driver's door switch and access the wires there.

Hmm. I just looked in DEI's techsoft, and they say to use the same colors as you have----at the door ECU in the passenger's door. Also, if it's like most other Toyotas, you're looking for the wires that test by turning the key in the door----you shouldn't use the wires that test off the switch, because under certain conditions, the unlock function of the switch can become disabled.

Make sure the wires you have do indeed test off the key, and also try triggering them with all doors closed, in case that is necessary.
