I worked on a '02 silverado diesed today and I installed the 457gw module that directechs says you need. I hooked up the purple wire to the purple wire on the diagnostic plug (as stated) and i grounded it and gave it 12+. The module is suppose to allow you to grab the door triggers and locks instead of from the bcm but its not working, and the car remote starts but immediately dies. The tach is programed and im sure the problem is in the 457gw module. What am I doing wrong? Thanks!

The 457gw doesn't work the locks on a 2002, only 2003 thru 2007. you will need to connect these directly to the truck right in the fuse box, pretty easy. The 457gw will only bypass the Passlock in your truck...

You can also get the door locks (+) at the BCM as well as the door triggers and parking lights.

yeah i agree with what Another-Kelly said you did not mentian hooking up the status wire which is blue/white on the 457g this needs to go to the blue wire on the 4 connector harness that connects to the remote start relay box. After hooking that up reprogram and it should work fine.
