I just got a 10.5X installed in my car and I can't figure out how to adjust the shock sensor. At first I wasn't sure if the sensor was even working but after banging on my drivers side window i got a little warnaway or whatever that is. Anyway, when I try and do what the book tells me to do for changing the sensitivity of the shock sensor, nothing happens. The steps I take are... disarm the alarm. hold the disarm button and trunk open (aux) button for 6 seconds and let go but nothing happens. That is exactly what I'm supposed to do as far as I can tell but my car doesn't beep and my remote doesn't do anything. So did they install it wrong or what? Am i just missing something? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

note: The system must be disarmed, and doors and other

protected entries (zones 1 and 6) must be closed, and

ignition (zone 5) must be off.

right... and so that's just telling me that I have to have the little unlock symbol on my remote(diarm)... the doors and hood and trunk and such must be shut, and the ignition must be off. Well all of those things were true when I was trying to do this. I was standing outside of the car so the ignition wasn't on... and the doors were shut. One thing I did notice though was when I go to unlock(disarm) the car my remote shows the little door symbol like it's open. I don't know if that just means it's unlocking the doors (because it's setup to lock and unlock them) or it thinks my door is open. maybe it's thinking the door is open and so won't enter shock sensor setup? just an idea...any other advice would be great.

Does your car have a factory domelight delay? If they used the domelight wire for the door trigger, you would have to get in...shut the door and wait for the domelight to go out before trying to program. If you just got this installed, i would take the car to them, and have them show you how to do it. If there is a problem, they will be able to fix it.
