I am looking for the correct install for parking lamp, I installed my remote starter on the -  gray wire at the switch and the parking lamps do not flash or are on during run time when in auto lamp mode.

Parking lights can also be found in the drivers running board harness. The wire is lt.blue/white (POS)+

If I go direct to this wire will it eliminate the issues I am having?

Well, one of them at least. The daytime lights/auto lamps can be disabled on remote start. "Break" the wire with a relay triggered with ground while running. The wire you need to use is purple.green at the light switch. Wire a relay like this.

Cut the wire, take the switch side to pin 87a, take the other side to 30. put 12volts to pin 86, and use your ground while running on pin 85. This will open that wire when you remaote start, and the lights will NOT come on. Then when you get in and do the take over....the relay will release, and the lights will come on.
