Any of you who have been using the GM-SL2 on full size suvs and pickups and have been having the dead battery issues...

Has anyone tried the fix posted on their site about adding a 1k resistor to ground on the purple data wire? I thought I finally found a good module to use until all these damn dead betteries. Would like to see if anyone else has had good results with this fix before I go back to that module.

Never had an issue with them draining. What version numbers do you have ?

They drain on 1.0 thru 1.8. Pretty much on full size suvs and pickups. Every time there is a new revision they say its fixed, but its not. Now they post a fix with a resistor on the data wire. I'm not too keen on adding resistors to ground on the vehicles data wire.

there is a fix for that. Version 1.8 has the fix. Do you guys use the Idatalink stuff?

iDatalink we use as well as the Fortin modules. It's pretty good modules and easy to work with the new 232 port.

i only had one truck with this problem

i was told three times that they had it fixed put three differnt versions in

only to jerk them all out and make my customer happy with a xko1

and sent back all the other gmsl1 i had
