It sounds like the alarm is in valet. But to find the brain you can try ebay. Other then that you need to go to a retailer.

what does valet means? the brain can power on, but the led is always on. something is wrong, and the door lock is not working. I should buy a 791xv brain, will that work?

press and hold the valet push switch in and turn the key on... it should take it out of valet mode....

It can also be done via the remote. This is covered in the Owner's manual, which you can grab from here.

i got the valet mode off. Now i can't even arm or disarm the brain.
when i hit arm or disarm button, i heard clicks on the viper brain. is the brain broken? i think i short circuit the brain for some reason, i have no idea. i'm thinking of buying another brain.

It may be your connections.  Did you install this alarm yourself?  There may be no need for another brain but then again there could be many reasons why its not working.  what year and model is the vehicle?  Wouldn't make any sense to get another brain when it could of been something else.

I bought a 5900 and the freaking horn output didn't work right out of the box. Had the get it replaced. Can we say QC DEI? Still only 1 Negative i've founf in DEI. :-) The product was bad out of the box, not later after the install.

I'm sure there's nothing wrong with that unit. Clicking when pressing buttons means it's alive and functional - transmitter and antenna communicating, internal parklight relay functioning. Is your siren connected? To which wires?

Instead of buying another unit, your money would be better spent taking it to a shop.

the brain just didn't go in arm position, it is always disarm. my door is open, and it suppose to siren like before. I don't know what happen to my brain and the remote. They don't seem to arm. I think i need to buy a bitwriter, valet button is annoying to me.

Big Dog gets my vote.        Please heyitzalan....do not take this the wrong way, but, you sounds like your in over your head. And I make this statement by reading the words you have typed here in this thread.

Take the thing to a qualified retailer and solve all your problems at once.  Just my thoughts................
