Okay. I'm in the process of installing my New Compustar CM4000. I've got everything hooked up except the remote start. I also have the omega bypass module hooked up to the honda Imobilizer. My car is a 99 honda prelude Manual. Everything works so far, doors, lock, unlock, triggers.

I am not sure how to connect the remote start wires.

(CN3 "connection3" https://www.velocitymotorsport.com/install_notes/CM4000.pdf )

Some installer at best buy told me that I cannot hook the wires straight up to the car because the alarm is a negative alarm and my car has a positive charge. Can someone please look into this for me and explain this to me? I've look everywhere on the internet and i still haven't found an answer. Is this a stupid question? I don't know. I just don't wanna burn my car up.

Some step by step instuctions would be greatly appreciated.

You will need to find the parking brake wire and hook up to the BLUE wire at the CN3 harness. THe guy at Best Buy doesn't know what he's talking about. Not sure what he's referring to about a positive polarity but the Compustar has (-) and (+) outputs and you just have to know what wires to hook up.

trying to hook up the tach sensing wire to the injectors....but when I tap into any of the wires, the voltage seems to sit still no matter what wire i tap into. What could be wrong?

Use the BLUE wire at the test connector located to the front of the right strut tower instead. This is a better tach signal and easy to get to.

okay, I just finished the complete install(compustar cm4000/honda prelude99). Everything works like a charm. The only problem that I am having, is that when I'm driving around, the green key light in my cluster seems to blink whenever it pleases. Meaning it's not constant. Sometimes it would blink constantly and others it would blink every now and then. I've looked around the internet and I'm guessing that it's my bypass??? I have the Omega bypass for preludes and RL. Is there any solutions to this blinking problem? And also does the alarm brain click EVERY time i step on the brake?????

thanks in advance.

thats normal for it to click every time you step on the brake. Its just seeing ground everytime you apply the brake. The key on your prelude seems to be okay. But if you want you can try to relearn the mod. or Scrap that module and use a HondaSL. They work like butter. Now where did you get a cm4000 to install it yourself? Im bout to get one. But im waiting for the ss

We use the PKH1 and never had a rpoblem witht he flashing green key. Try to use the other key to program the module. Did you use the gray or the black key to program this module ?

I purchased the cm4000 on ebay (canada). I bought 2 of them from the dude. I think he still has some more. I used my black key to set up the bypass. Do you think the grey one would work better?

also, I currently have the brain stashed under the steering column. Preludes don't have that much space as it is already and it a real tight fit. Is there anywhere else i can relocate it?

I'm sure that won't happen for too much longer. Compustar doesn't condone eBay sales of their products.... especially their PRO line from any dealer

Velocity motors and KarTuneMan, between us guys, what is your cost on the 2 way Compustar A/S alarms?

I noticed that both of you are very displeased with ebay sellers.

Compustar Pro is a Exclusive line. it should not be sold over ebay. And i really doubt it on there. I've looked and not seen it, That good. Why they would be mad. Because if people can get pro on ebay it wouldn't be Exclusive. And that beats the whole meaning of having a products thats very territorial. it would wiz off alot of people if there product line was sold over the net. word.
