Call me stupid but is the pkf3 bypass supposed to blink all the time, or just when in operation.

I am pretty sure it blinks in conjunction with the theft light on the dash.

I was thinkin that but couldn't commit to typing it.  I have a taurus in which that blinking is blamed for drawing the battery down? Thanx for the info.
