I want to lengthen or extend the wires that come "stock" with the Viper 791xv, but I'm sure (as with any cable) there is a limit. The main thing I am concerned with is the ribbon cable coming off of the Remote Start satellite relay. I don't want an obvious link directly back to the brain nor do I want it even that close with stock wiring.

How far can I really go?

From what I hear, I can't extend the Antenna cable because it is tuned, but can I extend all the other wires? The only wires I won't extend, In fact, I will shorten as short as possible is the Remote Start Wires, but the short length ribbon cable has to go..

Is there like a "repeater" or "wire amplifier" that will keep the signal strong so I can route the brain as far as I would like and still keep the remote start relay satellite under the dash (brain under the back seat for example?)

Please any info would be much appreciated. Thank You

you can extend all wires cause i did to hide the brain on my alarm .. i just used the same gauge wire but i put them all black so that a theif will not know what wire is main power..etc.. i put mine in the trunk but it took forever to connect each wire but its worth it so that a theif wont get to it and disconnect it...

well it's good to know that they can go that far. I would rather spend the extra time wiring and extending than to worry about the brain of the alarm easily pulled. Did you have remote start? I know this isn't considered a security item, but a "luxury" or convenience item.

it is a convenience that takes time and i did have remote start just be carefull  because theives do look for the alarm light wires and follow them if they cannt see the brain and also a hood pin and trunk pin are your best friend someone tried to pop my hood to get to the alarm wires and cut the horn so it cannt be heard but the hood pin went off plus the transponder started beeping so all things to consider..i thought i was the only one to think about putting the brain somewhere else besides the underdash.. also the shock sensor just loom them to make them look factory..
