Hello Im tyring to install a 520T back up battery on my viper 791 pager alarm.  I connect edeverything right,I think!.  Anyways When i disconnected my battery the alarm didnt go off.  I connected the Blue wire from the Backup battery moduel to the Blue wire on the alarm moduel(which is the trunk release).  Anyone have any ideas why my backup is not workin.

the blue wire is not a trunk release its a trigger which is correct for connecting it there.(RED / white would be the actual release)  the gray wire should be connected to the red wire of your alarm.  The black wire to ground.  The red wire of the 520t should be connected to the battery (+) post.  How did you wire it?

hope that is a typo and you mean the Blue wire off the alarm (which is the trunk trigger input)

anyways, when you unplugged the battery, does your alarm still work?
The responder remote should still send and recieve.

If not, you probably hooked up the 12v wrong.
Make sure you hooked up the GRAY (from the battery module) to the red (12v input of the alarm) only.

BackUp Battery Module

Red-12V+ Constant, I connect that to the battery main + terminal

Gray-+12V output, I connet that Alarm Module 12V input which in the model 791 is the Red

Black-Chassis Ground, I connect that to the chassis

Blue-Output to control module -, I connect to the blue wire on the alarm module,  I also try green which was the door trigger, none of them work

I was wondering if I have to run my car for a couple of minuts so that the battery need to charge up.

Which one is the instant trigger, heres the guide for my alarm

Yes its the one with the 11 or 12 pin connectors, is the biggest one on the alarm moduel.  Ive had the battery for about a year

Regarding the red 12v wire input on the ALARM. You don't have that connected to 12v battery power as well, do you? It should only be connected to the gray wire on the 520T (so that the vehicle's 12v power is running THROUGH the 520T and into the alarm. This is where I've found that a lot of people mess up. They connect the power input wire on the ALARM to the vehicle's 12v power and then simply splice the 520T's gray wire into that wire.

If everything's hooked up correctly, let the battery charge for awhile (maybe even overnight) before disconnecting the vehicle's power. OR, if you have a multimeter, disconnect the 520T's backup battery from the module and see if it's taking -and holding- a charge.

If it still doesn't work, the 520T may need a new backup battery.

so your telling me that I cant spice up the wire for the 12 volt input on the alarm module.  That tha Alarm Module has to be connect directly and only to the back up battery.

Yes. That's the correct way to install it.

No problem. The way you had it wired up, the vehicle's battery power (which is a 12v OUTPUT) was feeding back into the 520T's OUTPUT (so you had 12v going into both ends of the 520T, lol). Luckily you caught it in time and didn't fry the 520T module or it's backup battery.

I wanna install the Horn to my alarm, Any directions?  I have a 95 civic DX

the horn on a 95 civic is negative a blue/ green wire on the steering to the left .. most alarms run on positive horn so you might have to place a relay to reverse the polarity.. 85 wire from alarm pos , 86 negative, 87 negative and 30 to  blue / green of the car

It should be ok.  If you dont  like the sound then you can use a relay for it.
