I'm having a hard time finding a replacement remote for my Viper 5000 paging car alarm. I believe the 5000 model has been replaced with a new version. Does anyone know where I can find a replacement remote or can other models be used wityh the 5000 brain. Thank you very much.

just search for your alarm system there and it will show u all the compatible remotes and serial numbers for each. Then if you want to buy one, try ebay... they are the cheapest off there...

Thanks, you are a very resourceful individual. I checked e bay and they dont have the model I need(489V) and directed wants 150 plus. Damn these things are expensive.
